Biography:
Kanan Jarrus, born Caleb Dume, is a central character in the animated TV show Star Wars Rebels, which marked his first appearance.
He was a Padawan learner during the Clone Wars, surviving Order 66, the purge of the Jedi. He went into hiding, abandoning the ways of the Jedi to survive.
Years later, Kanan reluctantly became a Jedi Knight again, training Ezra Bridger in the Force. He joined the rebellion against the Galactic Empire, fighting alongside Hera Syndulla, his eventual romantic partner, and other members of the crew of the Ghost.
Kanan struggled with his past and his fear of the dark side, but ultimately sacrificed himself to save his friends and ensure their escape from the Empire.
